South Adams County Water and Sanitation District takes all possible steps to ensure customers are billed correctly. Please see the video below that explains our systematic procedure for reading meters and billing our customers.
Meter readings are obtained using electronic devices and electronically transferred into the billing system. A billing technician scans the meter readings for high usage. South Adams will then send out a meter reader technician if high water usage is discovered on our customer’s bill. After a meter reader technician has checked the meter at the customer’s home, and a leak is not found we will then charge the customer for the used water. Please watch the video below that explains our systematic procedure on meter readings and billing our customers.
We encourage customers to unlock gates, put dogs up on scheduled read dates and remove any obstacles blocking the meter, such as vehicles, shrubs and garbage cans. Your help makes our meter readers' jobs easier and helps ensure the accuracy of their readings.
